I haven't found much with weapons, personally, unless you count pipes, but I've done rather well in terms of one main area and a backup. The backup is difficult to get to without the right path, but quite straightforward if you know where you're going and what you're looking for. I've found fresh water, at least. I've been focusing on finding stores that once carried food or clothing and gathering wood or anything that burns well. When I woke up here, I found a lighter in a jewelry box and it hasn't failed me yet. I also found some unopened medicine bottles, but who knows if they have any potency left. Still, placebo effect can be powerful for many.
Do you need a coat, by the way, my dear? I found a rather delightful looking one that might suit you.
