[ opens the door making a gesture to welcome them in as he steps back. ]
I wasn't expecting guests, so I don't have anything prepared, but there are a few things lying around. [ he's teasing, kind of. he does have some snacks around and drinks in the mini fridge now that they've been blessed with power. ]
[Nicola inclines his head in thanks as he steps inside.]
No worries, we didn't come with any expectations. Your company is more than enough.
[He leaves his shoes neatly by the entrance before moving to sit on the edge of Aventurine's bed, deliberately leaving the snacks and mini fridge untouched. Since he came here uninvited, Nicola would feel bad taking from his personal stash even though it was offered to him.]
[ When invited in, Caelus nods politely before doing the same as Nicola. He places his own shoes down next to the Italian's, then…! He holds Aventurine's hand this time and then takes him along to sit with Nicola on the bed.
[ Aventurine cants his head to one side as Nicola responds and makes his way to the bed. he only cants it further with Caelus's response following in addition to bringing him along. there's no fuss or hesitance, even holding Caelus's hand in return as he's led until he finds himself sitting on the bed between them. the idea of them just deciding to visit to sit around like this isn't unwelcome (maybe they do this as a pastime and are sharing??) although he's puzzled. their arrival and actions had managed to distract him enough to momentarily forget why he had been in here doing nothing in the first place.
the quizzical, almost-fascinatingly so, expression melts into one of perceived resignation then, most likely as the avgin recognizes why they actually are here. oh, right, that makes sense. it was public and a bit of a slap in the face, even though he knows he started it by recklessly engaging... even though, despite the public part, wasn't what unexpectedly stung. still, he has tethers with them both, so if they witnessed that and felt anything even briefly that unintentionally slipped out, it wouldn't be hard to make a connection.
lowering his head a bit shyly, Aventurine smiles just a little as he stares at nothing in particular other than the comforter spread beneath them. he is somewhat embarrassed by his own behavior, (of course) since it didn't end in his favor—he's not exactly feeling so out of regret and a desire to act better so much as because of his losing to begin with, such is his nature, afterall— but he's far moreso sentimentally endeared by their presence.
that's most likely why they're both here. it's really cute of them, but to now bring to verbal light what the three of them seem to collectively know already seems too forward, too direct a breach on an emotional level. so words will fail him, and instead he breaks the silence with something else. (—but, it's obvious he's really trying especially through their tethers, even though he doesn't intend to give that impression. it's also painfully clear he's failing and doesn't know what to do in light of that since his normally fluid presentation to everyone doesn't come up to try and defend him, either. it's fine, there's only so much acting anyone can do when everyone in the room can already tell what it is. tethers aren't really needed by these two to get that, Aventurine knows, but he sure can silently curse Sleep and One for making it impossible for Aventurine himself to go on about his business in denial of that truth.) ]
... This is nice.
[ okay, that probably comes out a bit pitiful-sounding, but he means it sincerely despite everything. it's really very sweet of them, and he probably doesn't deserve it all things considered. ]
